Data Retention Policy

Last updated: January 2026

This Data Retention Policy explains how long Zolvio retains different categories of data and how deletion works. This policy complements our Privacy Policy and Data Policy.

Important Notes

  • Retention depends on your plan and the features you use. Plan retention determines how long session recordings and related analytics are available in the app.
  • We may retain limited records longer where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
  • This policy is informational and not legal advice. Retention requirements can vary by jurisdiction.

Plan-Based Retention (Session Data)

Session recordings and associated event data are retained based on your plan:

Retention by Data Type

Typical categories and retention behavior:

  • Session recordings & event streams: retained per plan retention window, then deleted.
  • Heatmap aggregates: derived from recorded interactions; availability typically aligns with plan retention.
  • Heatmap screenshots: cached for display and refreshed when needed (for example after expiry or theme change).
  • A/B test configuration & results: stored while tests are active; historical results may be retained to show reporting trends.
  • Support logs: may be retained for troubleshooting and security auditing.

How Deletion Works

  • Data past its retention period is scheduled for deletion automatically.
  • When you uninstall Zolvio, we will delete store data according to our retention and legal obligations.
  • Backups and operational logs may persist for a limited time after deletion for resilience and security.

Requests for Deletion

Merchants can request deletion using in-app deletion controls (where available) or by contacting privacy@zolvio.io. If you are a store visitor, contact the merchant first; they are usually the data controller for storefront interactions.
