Surveys

Collect voice of customer feedback with targeted micro-surveys.

What Are Micro-Surveys?

Micro-surveys are short, targeted questions that appear to visitors at key moments. They help you understand:

  • Why visitors leave without purchasing
  • What information they're missing
  • How they found your store
  • What would convince them to buy

Setting Up Surveys

  1. Go to Surveys in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Survey
  3. Write your survey question
  4. Choose when to show the survey (exit intent, time on page, scroll depth)
  5. Target specific pages or visitor segments
  6. Set response quotas if needed
  7. Activate the survey

Targeting Visitors

Target surveys based on:

  • Page - Show only on specific pages
  • Visitor type - New vs. returning visitors
  • Device - Desktop vs. mobile
  • Behavior - Exit intent, idle time, scroll depth

Reading Responses

Survey analytics include:

  • Response rate (responses / impressions)
  • Response breakdown by answer
  • Trends over time
  • Export to CSV for further analysis

Survey Limits

  • Starter: No surveys
  • Growth: 5 active surveys
  • Pro: Unlimited surveys

Best Practices

  • Keep questions short and focused
  • Don't survey too frequently (1 survey per session max)
  • Use exit-intent for cart abandonment insights
  • Rotate questions to avoid survey fatigue

Tip

Start with a simple "What almost stopped you from buying?" survey on your checkout page. The insights can be invaluable for identifying conversion blockers.
